You Are Just A Few Steps Away From Clear Skin

By Steve Jones

Acne is well known among many people. It affects millions of people each year, ranging from early teenagers to full grown adults. The primary cause of acne is blockages in the pores of the skin. These blockages can result from dirt, bacteria, and oil. Though acne is problematic for many people, using the advice found in this article, you can get rid of acne.

If you find body acne a problem, be sure to exfoliate the skin. Pores can become blocked with the body's normal oils, thus causing bothersome acne to form. To remove dead skin cells and ensure the pores remain clear, try some light scrubbing with an exfoliating scrub or soft brush. You'll be amazed at the results!

In order to help rid yourself of acne, try to use only natural products on your skin. A lot of products today contain chemicals which not only hurt your skin but also can cause your acne to become worse. Some great skin products to look into would be tea tree oil and cocoa butter.

One of the best ways to reduce your acne is to reduce your level of stress. The hormone caused by stress, called cortisol, has been directly linked to causing acne breakouts. To help yourself relax, try moderate exercise techniques such as Yoga or Tai Chi, or simple breathing and meditation exercises.

To cure or prevent acne, wash your face twice a day with warm water and a sulphur-based acne soap. Gently massage the soap into your skin, rather than scrubbing, and don't use water that's too hot. Hot water and scrubbing can remove essential oils from your skin, which in turn tends to dry it out and makes it more susceptible to acne.

To treat acne, use diluted tea tree oil on clean skin and allow it to dry. Put on an oil-free moisturizer and then go to bed. This will minimize the redness caused by acne and alleviate any pain and swelling. It can also help kill bacteria on your face that may be causing the acne.

Hormonal acne may require more than cleansers, astringents, and moisturizers. Hormonal acne can point to hormone imbalances, which are especially common among women. Certain medical conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (or PCOS) may cause hormonal acne breakouts. Talk to your doctor about starting an intervention such as birth control if your hormonal acne is a concern.

Smoking can have a profound impact on your skin and can often yield acne. Smoking releases particles that can clog your pores and harm your body from the inside out. Every cigarette harms your internal capacity to reduce toxins, often causing acne as a result. Limit or quit smoking entirely to improve the way your face looks.

Zinc is one of the most effective natural ways to treat acne. It should be taken three times a day. The dosage should be 50 mg or 25 mg. As long as you keep up with taking the Zinc with a large glass of water three times a day, you will see your skin begin to clear.

Mix a couple of drops of tea tree oil into your moisturizer to fight acne. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic, meaning that it kills the bacteria that cause acne. It can be irritating to sensitive skin, so try a bit on the inside of your elbow, first, to make sure that it doesn't bother your skin.

Consider using T'ai Chi to destress your mind and clear up your acne. T'ai Chi is an exercise which can help center yourself and bring your mind to peace, and the less stress you have, the less zits will appear. It's also a great way to work your body without sweating profusely.

Aspirin can prove to be a cure for acne blemishes. Aspirin contains high levels of salicylic acid, which can help to rid your skin of blemishes and is easy to use. Just crush a couple of aspirins and mix with water. Put this mixture directly on your blemishes and watch them disappear quickly.

Acne might seem like a humiliating problem, but learning these easy tricks will help keep your face clear and attractive. Knowing what to do to handle acne and how to avoid and prevent zits will go a long way to minimized facial blemishes. The suggestions in this article will help you take control of acne and gain serious confidence in your appearance.
