Have Zits? Follow These Tips For Relief

By John Glass

If you're having trouble with acne, it can seem like it is the end of the world! You may not want to even leave the house, and it can lead to depression. This article will give you some tips for helping you deal with zits troubles:

To limit the formation of acne, try to reduce the amount of ketchup and tomato sauce that you consume. These foods have a lot of sugar and carbohydrates and can kick start the formation of pimples. Try to stick to natural foods that are raw and organic to eliminate zits through your diet.

To help you eliminate acne you should be careful of the type of face wash you are using. Many products that claim to help get rid of acne can actually make it worse because they over-dry your skin causing it to break out further. Look for a face wash like Cetaphil that won't remove excess oil from your skin.

It is important to remember not to touch pimples prone skin with your hands on a frequent basis. Doing so will spread germs and infection, perhaps leading to worsening acne problems. Remember that zits prone skin is already sensitive and possibly broken. If you must touch it, do so with clean hands, and wash your hands afterwards.

To treat pimples, use diluted tea tree oil on clean skin and allow it to dry. Put on an oil-free moisturizer and then go to bed. This will minimize the redness caused by acne and alleviate any pain and swelling. It can also help kill bacteria on your face that may be causing the zits.

One way to help prevent an pimples breakout is to sleep on your back. If you prefer to sleep on your stomach, then your face is constantly in contact with the oils deposited there by your hair and face, so sleeping on your back is recommended. Also, you need to wash your pillow cases regularly to remove these oils as well.

After you wash your face, you should use an exfoliating mask. Exfoliation will help remove the dead skin layers from your face. You should try to exfoliate your face, at least, once or twice a week. Doing this can help you clean your pores which will help you prevent or rid yourself of acne.

Makeup that is labeled as non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic can help prevent breakouts. These types of makeup are formulated to avoid clogging your oil-producing pores. If you use these types of makeup and your acne worsens, try switching to a different brand. The brand that you are using may have ingredients that your skin is sensitive to.

As stated in the beginning of this article, you may feel like it is the end of the world, if you are experiencing zits problems. No doubt, you want to do everything possible to feel good about yourself. Apply the advice from this article to help cope with zits problems, and have a brighter outlook!
